In the winter of 2014/2015, my single hive didn’t survive--a tough loss as a beginner sparked years of self-study, trial & error,
& incremental success.
Through that journey, I realized how much new beekeepers needed reliable guidance to avoid learning the hard way, as I had.
In 2020, I launched a mentoring service for backyard beekeepers with a simple goal:
Help beginners get their colonies
through their first winter.
Since then, A Mark of Beekeeping has grown to include bee relocation, hive rentals, colony management, & more.
